Cape Fear Botanical Garden to Feature Large Lego Sculptures

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina — Larger-than-life sculptures such as a tiger swallowtail butterfly, an eight-foot hummingbird and a seven-foot rose — made with more than a half million Lego pieces — will fill the grounds of the Cape Fear Botanical Garden beginning next year.

“Nature Connects Lego Brick Sculptures” will run from September 30, 2016, through January 8, 2017.

In addition to the sculptures, Nature Connects will include educational activities for all ages, hands-on Lego brick building stations and design competitions.

“Pairing this display of Lego brick sculptures with the beauty of the Cape Fear Botanical Garden creates a one-of-a-kind experience for groups,” said John Meroski, president and CEO of the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
