Doo wop!  If casual 1950s fare sounds good, head on over to Punchy’s and enjoy some old-time rock ’n’ roll with your burger.

• R & R Barbecue

You wouldn’t be in North Carolina if you didn’t have some barbecue, so this is the local spot to try your eastern North Carolina vinegar-based pork barbecue.

Ready for healthy?  This local favorite was inspired by the diners from the North Carolina Research Campus nearby and features items from as far-flung places as Hawaii.
