To help many Christians fulfill their dream of visiting the Holy Land, Krouse Travel will offer in-depth Christian tours to Israel and beyond in November. In a partnership with Amsalem Tours and Travel, a worldwide operation with headquarters in Israel, Krouse Travel will be the exclusive U.S. representative for Lands of Faith, a new tour company created by Amsalem.
These tours will take groups to Israel and other locations involved in the spread of Christianity, including Egypt, East Africa, Asia Minor and as far west as Portugal. The Lands of Faith tours will vary from typical Middle East tours by focusing on attractions most important to Christians, instead of combining religion, history and culture.
“We are not trying to mix everything together in one tour,” said Vickie Everhart, manager of Krouse Travel.
These tours will incorporate university-level learning, as well as hands-on experiential opportunities to visit markets and villages to meet local people. Other specialty tours from Lands of Faith will focus on culinary tours, wheelchair accessible tours, and arts and crafts tours.
Krouse Travel has been taking faith-based groups to Israel since 1997. After Lands of Faith opens for business officially in November, Krouse Travel will serve as the local contact for reservations, questions and customized trip requests from group leaders. Lands of Faith also has two offices in the U.S. and others in the Mediterranean region to handle logistics.
“This allows us to manage all aspects of tour operation,” said Eran Efrat, director of Amsalem Tours and Travel. “When the groups are on tour, we are on local time to solve an issue immediately.”
The Lands of Faith website, www.landsoffaith.net, is scheduled to be running by mid-October.
