The Inspiration Gallery: Yesterday and Today features exhibits from the 1800s to today, while the Governors Gallery, which will have temporary and traveling exhibits, opens with “The Power of the People” about the development of rural electricity in the state.

The first two galleries in the 97,000-square-foot expansion, the Geologic Time Gallery and the Early Peoples Gallery, opened in July.

Additional spaces include the renovated Russell Reid Auditorium, a new Great Plains Theater, a new museum store, Corridor of History exhibits, visitor kiosks and the Northern Lights Atrium.
