Rock Hill shines at Going On Faith

“I’ve already spoken to my pastor about taking our church group back to Rock Hill this spring for NarroWay’s Easter program,” said Fred Weeks of Connection Christian Tours in Tuscumbia, Alabama. “I thought that the Barabbas drama we saw at the conference was outstanding. We’ll also go to the Billy Graham Library while we’re there, and we’ll eat in Old Town in Rock Hill. My group will love it.”

“I’d also love to see the Going On Faith Conference offer a program in the future on missionary tours,” said Weeks. “I think these groups would like to do a trip and have fun, but then help to build a house or do a work project while they are in the destination.”

“The sightseeing element at this conference was outstanding,” said conference vice president Teresa Burton. “Our delegates were delighted with everything they got to see and enjoy on their afternoon off.”

In a true gesture of Southern hospitality, one of the city’s largest churches, the First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, generously offered its spacious event center for breakfasts and luncheons, creating a wonderful complement to the meeting facilities used throughout the day at the Baxter M. Hood Center.
