LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Zip the Bluegrass, which debuted July 1, is a new zip line trail that highlights five locations across the state of Kentucky from mountain to mountain, over gorges and ravines, treetop to treetop and even under the city of Louisville.

Zip the Bluegrass currently features Mammoth Cave Adventures, Cave City; Black Mountain Thunder Zip Line, Evarts; Red River Gorge Zip Line Tours, Campton; the Big Zipper, Maysville; and Mega Zips, Louisville.

Participants can sign up for Zip the Bluegrass at any of the five locations and will receive 15 percent off general admission at the second, third, fourth and final locations, along with an embossed seal on their passport.

Upon completion of all five locations, zippers will receive a 2012/2013 Certificate of Completion and Zip the Bluegrass T-shirt.

“Zip lines and canopy tours are the newest and most exciting types of outdoor adventure,” said Elaine H. Wilson, executive director of the Office of Adventure Tourism in the Kentucky Tourism Cabinet. “Zip the Bluegrass not only highlights our most popular zip line destinations, but also some of the most scenic and unforgettable locations Kentucky has to offer.”
