Collette Cares To Fight Global Hunger

To celebrate the centennial anniversary of Collette, the company announced a new global hunger initiative called 1 Million Meals Campaign. The tour operator’s philanthropic branch, Collette Cares, will work in partnership with Stop Hunger Now, No Kid Hungry and Edesia to provide one million meals by 2018, the 100th anniversary of Collette.

Volunteering, global projects and partnerships will aid the tour operator in reaching their goal. Already, more than 240 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to create 30,000 meals on July 18, during the fourth annual Founder’s Day held at Collette global headquarters. Employees at Collette offices in Rhode Island, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia will also volunteer their time at soup kitchens and food banks as part of the program.

“It is with great excitement that Collette Cares kicks off such a noble initiative,” said Dan Sullivan Jr., president and CEO of Collette. “Hunger is a global issue that we’ve identified as something we want to improve on our road to 100 years as an organization.”
