Flower carpets coming to Indiana’s Amish Country

ELKHART COUNTY, Indiana – Flower carpets stretching two-blocks long will cover Elkhart and Nappanee’s downtowns with color. From October 1 through October 12, this new fall attraction will be on view free of charge in Northern Indiana’s Amish Country.

Each flower carpet is loaded with 7,000 pots of jewel-toned mums (14,000 mums in all). The carpets replicate original patterns created from the theme “Celebrate the Arts.” Elkhart County is the only place in North America with similar flower carpets.

Other activities complimenting the Flower Carpets include Elkhart’s ArtWalk and Nappanee’s Hoosier Cabinet Days.
