In what organizers are calling the largest foreign mission trip ever, PraiseFest Ministries and Inspiration Cruises and Tours have announced the fourth installment of Cruise with a Cause, May 30-June 4. More than 3,000 passengers will travel aboard the chartered Carnival Destiny to Montego Bay, Jamaica, where they will take part in ministry events that could reach as many as 200,000 Jamaicans.

The travelers will be joined by numerous musicians, actors and church leaders, who will present conferences and concerts on the ship, preparing passengers for the children’s and adult ministry they will undertake upon landing in Jamaica. Guests will include Casting Crowns, Russ Taff and Josh McDowell, along with David and Tamela Mann from the TV show “Meet the Browns.”
“Cruise with a Cause is about bringing people from all over the world to a single mission effort,” said gospel recording artist Donnie McClurkin.

Upon docking in Montego Bay, most of the passengers will go into some 200 schools and present the Gospel through school assemblies to an estimated 133,000 students. Other passengers will go to minister in the streets or the country’s prisons. All of the Cruise with a Cause passengers will attend JamaicaFest, a free crusade event in Montego Bay expected to draw as many as 80,000 locals.

“A mission trip should be defined by purpose and impact,” said Matthew Dunaway, president and founder of PriaseFest Ministries. “Our purpose is to reach the people of Jamaica with the gospel. The impact these Cruise with a Cause efforts have made on other countries has been amazing.”
