New Look Revealed for Dixie Stampede

PIGEON FORGE, Tennessee – Guests will discover a re-imagined Dixie Stampede for its 28th season in 2015. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede production team has taken the beloved show and updated its aesthetic design and technology.

“I want to dazzle our guests in 2015 with a completely new atmosphere,” said Dolly Parton, owner. “My team is hard at work creating a new set, powerful new music, lots of amazing special effects and a few other surprises.”

Upgrades include state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Visitors will also enjoy a new musical score and aerial act.

These updates mark the largest investment in the show since its opening in 1988.

“Thanks to innovative lighting technology, our main arena backdrop will come to life and feature a stunning tribute to the Great Smoky Mountains,” said Jim Rule, president of Dixie Stampede. “Our guests will be transported into the middle of the woods on a star-filled night without every leaving their dinner seats.”

Thought the Dixie Stampede will receive a makeover, much of the core concepts of the show will remain, such as the team of trick riders, 32 horses and traditional four-course meal.

The first show premiered on February 13 at Dixie Stampede’s two locations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Branson, Missouri. For more information, visit www.dixiestampede.com.
