Falling Waters, West Virginia, is a scenic and historically rich community located along the Potomac River near the Maryland border with convenient access to I-81. There Potomac Park Retreat and Conference Center offers a secluded and thoughtfully designed environment for Christian ministry groups.
Our all-inclusive packages take the guesswork out of retreat planning. Per-person rates include everything your group needs to have a successful ministry event: lodging, meeting, buffet dining, and basic recreation.
Accommodations Designed for Groups
Potomac Park accommodates up to 400 overnight guests across a variety of lodging options tailored to group needs. Motel-style rooms provide added comfort with private bathrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements. Dorm-style lodging offers a more traditional camp experience, with shared facilities ideal for youth groups and larger gatherings.

Meal planning is seamlessly integrated into the retreat experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the per-person rate structure. Guests can also enjoy the on-site café and ice cream shop, Potomac Perks, for casual refreshments during free time.
Flexible Meeting and Worship Spaces
Meeting facilities at Potomac Park are designed with ministry programming in mind. Each event package includes a private meeting room equipped with complimentary audio/visual capabilities, simplifying planning and budgeting for group leaders.
The centerpiece of the campus is the Tabernacle, which accommodates up to 700 attendees or 500 seated in an auditorium-style setup. With a full stage, sound system and lighting, it is well-suited for worship services, keynote sessions and large gatherings.
Other venues across the property provide flexibility for groups of all sizes. The Conference Center hosts groups of up to 350, while mid-size rooms like the Cover Center and Schaeffer Conference Room each host up to 150 guests. Several smaller meeting areas create ideal settings for breakout sessions, prayer groups and leadership discussions.
Recreation, Indoor & Out
A wide range of activities is included in the retreat experience, allowing groups to balance structured programming with recreation and fellowship. Outdoor options include mini golf, soccer, basketball, sand volleyball, gaga ball and an outdoor pool, along with open fields for group games, bonfires and seasonal activities like hayrides.

The property also features a unique experience, Slippery Slopes, a popular tubing-style activity that provides fun without the need for water or snow, so can be done all year long!

Indoor recreation is equally robust, with a gymnasium that supports basketball, volleyball, pickleball and fitness activities. And that’s just the upstairs! Downstairs, you can find an expansive hang-out area with table tennis, billiards, and foosball.

Potomac Park’s location offers both seclusion and accessibility. Positioned near the borders of West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, the retreat center is just over an hour from major cities such as Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
As a Christian ministry-focused venue, group leaders can plan with confidence knowing the environment is intentionally aligned with their values, free from unexpected distractions and designed to help students and guests feel comfortable, safe and fully at ease.
